I don't know if you remember Brian Mitchell, but I was on the phone with him the other night talking about ways to tweak my drawings for the better. I think I'm off to draw now!

10 years ago? Please, if you have the time, can you tell me what I can improve on in order to be eligible for studio work soon?

Man, I fully applaud you for this new endeavor. I won't tell anyone (so long as they don't read this comment!).Richard Gaineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16699556746754690415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2849088871048007735.post-82436811735423406042007-11-16T18:38:00.000-08:002007-11-16T18:38:00.000-08:00Yikes! We're currently working on overthrowing the global economic structure. I think Vince Proce is in charge of that stage. When he finishes, we'll be launching phase two ... stay tuned.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11796939704207478047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2849088871048007735.post-13670589065776135012007-11-09T17:27:00.000-08:002007-11-09T17:27:00.000-08:00Man, you were such a great studio. To tell you the truth and I know it sounds gravely naive, but I'm more than sick and tired of animation work (and all modes of production) being sent overseas.

Please come back!!!Richard Gaineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16699556746754690415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2849088871048007735.post-57149672542018798492007-09-22T14:41:00.000-07:002007-09-22T14:41:00.000-07:00It was interesting, when this was posted, to see f...It was interesting, when this was posted, to see fan reaction. Many people recognized the StarToons style, and assumed we had done it for Warners. Of the 13 animators on this piece, three were working at StarToons at the time (John Griffin, David Pryor, and myself); four others were StarToons alumni (Neal Sternecky, Jeff Siergey, Tony Cervone, and Spike Brandt). So we had good representation, yes, but I put them straight as far as it being a Warners Classic Animation Department cartoon.

Spike, very nicely, sent me a framed cel set-up of one of the scenes I worked on.Jonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11796939704207478047noreply@blogger.com
